To make this a light milk chocolate ganache, replace bitter sweet chocolate with 6 ounces milk chocolate chips. Or if you want to cover a scoop of semifreddo or ice cream with a pliable chocolate dome, substitute coconut oil for the butter.
4 ounce heavy cream, 1/2 cup
- 4 ounce whole milk, 1/2 cup
- 1 ounce butter, salted okay (2 tablespoons)
- 1 ounce sugar or 2 tablespoons
- 4 ounce bittersweet chocolate chips, or block chocolate broken into small pieces *
Place all ingredients except chocolate into heavy bottom saucepan; bring to simmer. Turn off heat. Add chocolate. Let chocolate melt completely, then stir to make smooth; serve.
If desired, replace with 6 ounces milk chocolate for a lighter chocolate ganache.
